Sempervivo wulfenii

The yellow houseleek is a species endemic to the oriental Alps. It is a succulent species, which means adapted to really dry to arid environments, thanks to its leaves that store the water necessary to its survival. Its leaves form 4-7cm large rosettes and have a line of hairs on the edge. Like its cousin the large-flowered houseleek, Sempervivum wulfenii has yellow flowers.

However, it is absent from the Grand Paradiso Park, so if you see a yellow-flowered houseleek, it is the large-flowered houseleek.
